18-wheeler Causes a Two Car Collision

Houston, TX (July 10, 2019) – An 18-wheeler struck a car causing a SUV to tumble down the highway.

The truck accident happened Tuesday afternoon in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 290 near Antoine Drive.

The driver of an 18-wheeler attempted to switch lanes colliding into a black Ford Focus.

The driver of the Focus lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into a SUV that rolled over several times across multiple lanes.

The two people in the SUV were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford Focus was not injured.

According to authorities the driver of the 18-wheeler did not see the Focus because the driver was in his blind spot. The truck driver received a citation for unsafely changing lanes, which is a Class C misdemeanor.

Police reports will be made available in ten days.
