DRIPPING SPRINGS, TX (May 1, 2019) – A man died and five others were seriously injured after a major rollover crash on U.S. 290.
The car accident happened Tuesday, May 1st around 6:30 a.m. in the 11100 block of West Highway 290 near Fitzhugh Road.
Austin-Travis County EMS personnel helped extricate victims stuck in their cars.
One man, identified as 33-year-old Samuel Joseph Lowrance from Driftwood, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three people were transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center in critical condition and two sustained serious injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in ten days.
