Killeen, TX (3/6/2020) – A man is now dead after a wreck on State Highway 195 on Tuesday.
The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. in Killeen, Texas when a pedestrian was crossing SH 195. A Toyota Prius slowed down for the pedestrian, who was reportedly intoxicated, and as the Prius slowed, 59-year-old Donald Jay Mires came up behind on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and rear-ended the Prius.
Mires was thrown off his motorcycle due to the impact. He was then airlifted to a hospital, where he later died Wednesday.
The pedestrian, a 31-year-old man, was taken into custody.
The driver of the Prius reportedly suffered no injuries.
