Driver Killed in Crash with School Bus in Jefferson County

Jefferson County, TX (4/5/2021) – A driver is now dead after colliding with a school bus in Jefferson County.

The accident happened on U.S. Highway 90 west of China Monday morning. A minivan struck the rear of a Hardin-Jefferson school bus, and the minivan went under the school bus.

The driver of the minivan, 56-year-old David Eugene Strickler, was killed at the scene.

The school bus was taken by ambulance to Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

No students were injured.
