Crane, TX (8/17/2020) – Five people, including three children, were killed after a two-vehicle wreck early Friday morning in Crane.
The accident happened on U.S. Highway 385 when an SUV driven by 23-year-old Bailey Nisbet drifted into the northbound lane and struck a pickup truck driven by 67-year-old Carl Rice.
Both drivers and all three children were killed as a result of the wreck.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
In Texas, the immediate family members of people who were killed because of negligence are able to seek damages and hold the responsible party accountable by filing a wrongful death lawsuit.
Because damages claimed in wrongful death lawsuits are usually significant, insurance companies and lawyers for the at-fault party will do everything they can to avoid being held responsible. For this reason, it’s critical that each of the families is represented by their own lawyers who have significant experience handling wrongful death claims.
If you or someone you know has lost a loved one in Texas, and you’re considering filing a wrongful death lawsuit to hold the responsible party accountable, contact attorneys Sutliff & Stout at (713) 987-7111 or send us an email to discuss your wrongful death case.
