Canyon Lake, TX (11/13/2019) – An elderly man, woman, and child were killed in a deadly collision in Canyon Lake Sunday evening.
Per an official report, 40-year-old David Michael Estes was traveling eastbound on FM 306 when he drifted into the westbound lanes around 7 p.m.
That is when he hit Melissa Leigh Edwards, 41, and her two passengers: her son 11-year-old Brendan Edwards and 93-year-old Walton Walker.
Estes was transported to Ascension Seton Hays Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
Texas Wrongful Death Attorneys
The family of Edwards, as well as the family of Walker, may be entitled to a wrongful death claim against Estes’ actions. Because Estes swerved into their lane and allegedly caused the accident, Estes remains to be seen at-fault for his actions and therefore is liable for the accident.
