Dallas, TX (1/17/2021) – Two people were killed in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Dallas early Sunday morning.
The wreck occurred around 5:00 a.m. on Webb Chapel Road. A vehicle carrying a man, 49, and a woman, 77, were headed northbound and entered the intersection of the service road of I-635 when another vehicle ran a red light at Webb Chapel Road.
The vehicle who ran the red light crashed into the first vehicle, causing the first vehicle to collide into a retaining wall.
The two people in the first vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger in the second vehicle was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle fled the scene. Their identity remains unknown.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
