18-wheeler Crashes Into Car in South Austin

Austin, TX (October 1, 2019) – A rear-end collision between a car and an 18-wheeler occurred overnight in south Austin.

According to the Austin authorities, the car accident happened on I-35 southbound near William Cannon Drive.

The driver of the vehicle pulled over on the interstate due to car problems. The driver of a Fedex 18-wheeler didn’t see him and slammed into his vehicle. 

The man died on the scene.

There were no other injuries reported.

All roads were shut down and rerouted due to the collision and a fuel spill. The Austin Fire Department cleaned up the area. All lanes reopened around 7:30 a.m.
