Amanda Marie Ring Dead after Tragic Accident

Midland, TX (3/5/2020) – A woman died Friday night after a tragic wreck on Highway 191 in Midland.

According to police, the accident happened when a BMW 320I driven by Marissa M. Ramos, 29, rear-ended a pickup truck at speeds of at least 112 miles per hour. The pickup truck, driven by Amanda Marie Ring, went into the median and flipped several times.

Ring was thrown from the truck and was killed at the scene.

Ramos was charged with Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle. She is currently out of jail on bond.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Driving with Negligence

Negligent driving is wholly apparent in the situation above. Not only did Ramos decide to get behind the wheel after being intoxicated, she proceeded to drive at high, unsafe speeds. This kind of negligent driving almost always leads to fatalities, in this case, wrongful death.
