Hale County, TX (9/2/2020) – At least 6 people were injured after a fatal crash Wednesday morning.

Three Dead after a Deadly Rollover Wreck in San Marcos

The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Interstate 32 near Hale Center. A Ford pickup truck was headed north on the interstate when it hydroplaned into the southbound lanes and collided with another Ford pickup truck carrying six occupants.

The driver of the first pickup truck was the sole occupant of the vehicle and had not been identified by Wednesday afternoon.

Two occupants were transported to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, and two others were transported to Covenant Plainview.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Car Accident Lawyers

Car accidents happen on highways, freeways, and county roads every day, whether it be due to road conditions, traffic, construction, weather conditions, or even debris. In the case above, wet roads caused a pickup truck to hydroplane. Hydroplaning occurs when the combination of a slippery road, speeding, and tire pressure causes a driver to lose control.

Car accidents caused by hydroplaning are the reason many people suffer injuries, even accidents that cause people to be hospitalized in the intensive care unit at the hospital, or killed.
