Charles French Fatally Killed in Texarkana

Texarkana, TX (11/11/2019) – Pedestrian Charles French, 41, died early Thursday morning after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 369.

According to police, French was driving south on Highway 369 when an object fell off his vehicle near 7th Street. He stopped to retrieve the object, and was walking back up the road when he was struck by another vehicle heading southbound.

The driver of the second vehicle was identified as 55-year-old Jeffrey Anderson.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
