Rosenberg, TX (July 18, 2019) – A Transportes del Norte charter bus crashed when it slammed into a guard rail in Rosenberg.
The charter bus was traveling from Matamoros, Mexico to Tennessee.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. at the Highway 36 exit from I-69. The bus crashed into the divider for the exit in a construction zone.
The front door was damaged causing passengers to exit through the back of the bus or climb out of the window.
Passengers were asleep on the bus during the accident. Several people were injured with minor scrapes. Dozens of passengers were taken to the hospital for a precautionary checkup.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reportswill be made available in ten days.
