Terrell, TX (9/2/2021) – A child was killed after an overnight crash on I-20 Saturday evening outside of Dallas.
The accident happened around 10:58 p.m. when four vehicles headed east were slowing down due to a previous crash. A Toyota Highlander slowed down for traffic when it was struck in the rear by a Dodge Ram pickup truck. The Dodge was then struck from behind by a Ford F-250.
The rear passenger in the Highlander, a 13-year-old child, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Oxford Foster.
Another person was taken to an area hospital in Canton.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
