Montgomery County, TX (9/5/2021) – A driver was injured after a drunk driving crash occurred in Montgomery County.

The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on SH 105 when a Chevy pickup with no lights on slammed into a Toyota Tundra head-on. 

The driver of the Toyota had to be freed from his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He suffered chest trauma and a severely injured left arm. 

According to troopers, the driver of the Chevy did not have a license and was suspected to have been driving under the influence. He will be charged with Intoxication Assault. 

The driver of the Chevy was taken to the hospital in stable condition. 

Another driver’s vehicle was also damaged in the crash after flying debris hit their car.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
