Earline Stroud Dead after Drilling Rig Crash

Snyder, TX (11/21/2019) – An elderly woman was killed Wednesday morning after colliding into a drilling rig near Snyder, Texas.

The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. when Earline Nealie Stroud, 83, was driving her Toyota Rav 4 north on County Road 253 in the southbound lane when a drilling rig that was moving south in the southbound lane collided into Stroud.

Stroud was killed at the scene.

According to a report, the rig was unable to avoid the collision.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
