Elderly Woman Dies in Two-Car AccidentMeyerland (February 20, 2019) – An elderly woman was killed in a two-car wreck in the Meyerland area.

The fatal car accident happened on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the 4900 block of West Bellfort Avenue near Balmforth Lane.

The victim was driving a silver Lexus ES 350 sedan southbound on Balmforth Lane. She failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a white Nissan Maxima traveling westbound on West Bellfort.

The Nissan collided with the Lexus’ driver’s side. The female victim, 70, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unknown if other individuals were injured in the accident.
