Fatal Accident with 18-wheeler in Fort Bend County
FORT BEND COUNTY (September 21, 2018)– Late Thursday afternoon, near Sugar Land on U.S. 90-Alternate and FM 1875 Beasley, an 18-wheeler crash caused a fire leaving two people dead. Fort Bend authorities stated the wreck happened when a van veered into the oncoming lane causing a direct collision the 18-wheeler.

The two men in the van died. The victims have not been identified. The driver of the 18-wheeler was reported to be okay.

The police and fire department closed the road for several hours while investigators were on the scene. The highway reopened Friday morning. There is an ongoing investigation to determine the cause of events.
