Wylie, TX (7/17/2020) – A man is dead and another is injured after a fatal wreck that happened Monday morning.

The accident occurred at FM 75 and Monte Carlo Blvd. around 10 a.m. A Princeton Fire Department truck was headed east on Monte Carlo and a Ford F-350 was headed north on FM 75 when both collided at the intersection.

The driver of the pickup truck, 30-year-old Randy Athey, was killed at the scene.

The driver of the PFD truck, 37-year-old William Morrison, was taken to Medical City McKinney with non-life-threatening injuries.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Accidents that involve extensive injuries are encouraged to contact legal counsel due to the amount of damages that come from an accident that causes such fatalities. An attorney can deal with insurance adjusters for you, negotiate settlements, and represent your best interests if a lawsuit is needed.
