Who Is Responsible for a Tire Blowout Accident in Texas?

The accident happened around 4 p.m. on US 79 near Henderson. A GMC truck towing a trailer was headed eastbound on the highway when the front right tire blew out and the vehicle lost control. As a result, the GMC went off the roadway.

The driver of the GMC, 52-year-old William McAlister, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His two passengers, a 5-year-old and a 10-year-old, were injured and taken to the hospital. The 5-year-old was taken in serious condition.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
