Freddy Buckingham Dead after Collision in Amarillo

Amarillo, TX (12/30/2019) – A 53-year-old man is now dead after being involved in a three-vehicle crash in Amarillo Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 24.

The accident occurred around 1:00 p.m. on East Amarillo Boulevard. A man, 65, was driving his tractor-trailer westbound when he turned in front of Buckingham going eastbound. Buckingham collided into the tractor-trailer, lost control, and spun into traffic before colliding into a second vehicle, a Chevy Camaro.

Buckingham was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

The woman who was driving the Camaro sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was unharmed.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
