Houston, TX (3/26/2021) – A Good Samaritan was killed on Friday after being run over on the Katy Freeway when he was trying to help another driver.
The accident happened around 6 a.m. at the Katy Freeway and Fry Road intersection. A Good Samaritan witnessed a pickup truck run off the freeway and hit a tree. When he got out of his vehicle to check on that driver, he was run over by another car.
The driver of the pickup truck was cut off, causing the initial wreck.
Police say the driver that struck the man stayed on the scene and there are currently no charges in the case.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
