Austin, TX (1/13/2021) – A deadly crash left one person dead and another injured Wednesday night.

The accident happened on West Howard Lane near MoPac Expressway in North Austin around 11:40 p.m.

A Nissan Sentra driven by Jasmine Symon Campos was headed westbound and crossed into the eastbound lane and hit a Mercury Grand Marquis headed eastbound head-on.

Campos was killed at the scene.

The drive of the Marquis was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Accidents that involve extensive injuries or death are encouraged to contact legal counsel due to the number of damages that come from an accident that causes such fatalities. A head-on accident with these kinds of injuries and fatalities calls for an experienced car accident attorney.

An attorney can deal with insurance adjusters for you, negotiate settlements, and represent your best interests if a lawsuit is needed. If you or a loved one were involved in a car accident, immediately contact a legal expert to help you evaluate your options.
