Lubbock, TX (1/2/2020) – A man is now dead after being involved in a crash with three vehicles in Lubbock, Texas.
The accident happened at the intersection of Slide Road and Marsha Sharpe Freeway around 2:31 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, according to LPD. A Ford Fusion, driven by 28-year-old Jose Fraire, was headed southbound on Slide Road and a Ford Edge was headed eastbound on Marsha Sharpe Freeway when the two collided at the intersection. The Fusion spun and then collided into a Ford Explorer.
Fraire suffered serious injuries and was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.
The driver of the Fusion and a passenger in the Edge suffered non-serious injuries.
No one was injured in the Ford Explorer.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
