Carencro, Louisiana (12/4/2019) – A Houstonian man is now dead after getting hit on the side of the road in Lafayette Parish on I-49 Monday night.

The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. near Carencro, Louisiana when Kittitone Sinakone, 48, of Houston, Texas was struck by an unknown vehicle after walking on the I-49 roadway.

Sinakone sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead.

The vehicle fled the scene, according to troopers.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
