Longview, TX (1/16/2020) – A woman is dead and another left injured after a two-vehicle wreck in Longview.
The accident happened around 7:21 a.m. Wednesday morning in the 2100 block of Mobberly Avenue. According to police, 57-year-old Kristyne Irion was headed northbound in her Pontiac when she lost control and collided into a Chrysler Town and Country van in oncoming traffic. She was ejected from the vehicle.
Iron was pronounced dead after being taken to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center.
The driver in the vehicle she struck suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The conditions of the road were wet.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
