Christopher Lawren Whitehead Killed in Two Vehicle Crash

Eastland County, TX (10/29/2019) – One man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Eastland County. It happened around 3:14 p.m. on I-20 near milepost 362 on Thursday, October 24. Wet road conditions due to rainy weather.

Christopher Lawren Whitehead, 45, was traveling in a 2014 Ford Pickup east with passenger Brandon Darrell Roysdon, 29. He hydroplaned, crossed the median, and hit a 2020 International truck and trailer going west, driven by 39-year-old Mario Antonio Bonilla.

Whitehead, who wore a seatbelt, died at the scene, and his body transported to Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger, Texas.

EMTs transported Mario Antonio Bonilla to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital with serious injuries.

Paramedics transported Roysdon to Eastland Memorial Hospital, they treated him for minor injuries and later released him.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident. Police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
