Robertson County, TX (6/30/2020) – A multi-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Highway 6 killed one woman and injured nine others in Robertson County.

The accident happened around noon near the weigh station between Bryan and Hearne. According to DPS, a Toyota SXC driven by 32-year-old Maria Roque-Manueles was slowed down to make a U-turn when it was struck behind by a Honda Pilot. The impact pushed the Toyota into the path of a Dodge pickup truck.

Roque-Manueles and nine others were transported to CHI St. Joseph Health in Bryan for treatment.

Roque-Manueles was killed after arriving at the hospital.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Most people consider rear-end car accidents to be minor. Often, these collisions occur in bumper-to-bumper traffic, in a parking lot, or in other situations when cars are moving at low speeds. When rear-end car accidents occur at high speeds, they can result in severe injuries and are sometimes fatal.

Nobody wants to be in a car accident, even those who drive aggressively. If you’re in any collision, whether it be a rear-end accident or another type – be sure to contact experienced and accomplished personal injury attorneys like those at Sutliff & Stout.
