Nestle-Waters-Truck-Runs-Red-Light-in-Northwest-HoustonHouston, TX (May 21, 2019) – An elderly woman died in a three-vehicle crash in northwest Houston.

The truck accident happened Monday, May 20th around 11:40 a.m. at 14698 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road.

According to witnesses, the driver of Nestle Waters truck was traveling westbound on the service road and ran a red light at the intersection of North Gessner Road.

The water truck collided into a silver GMC Sierra traveling northbound on North Gessner.

The Sierra was pushed into a gold Toyota Avalon traveling southbound on North Gessner. Tow truck drivers in the area hooked up the water truck, pulling it in order for firefighters to extricate the victims from the pickup truck.

A 79-year-old woman in the passenger side of the Sierra was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The male driver of the truck sustained life-threatening injuries.

The driver from the Avalon and the water truck were not injured in the accident.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in ten days.
