One Dead, Two Left Injured after Head-On Collision in Troy

Troy, TX (1/29/2020) – A head-on collision in Troy on Monday left one man dad and two people injured.

According to DPS, a Nissan truck crossed the double yellow line on FM 935 and collided head-first into a Chevrolet truck headed the opposite way.

A passenger in the Nissan, 63-year-old George Weldon Collier, was pronounced dead on impact.

The driver of the Nissan, Colby Eugene Collier, was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries.

The driver of the Chevy, 28-year-old Samantha Jo Allen, and her 27-year-old passenger, were also taken to a hospital for treatment.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

The victims in the Chevrolet may be entitled to a personal injury claim against the negligent driving of Colby Eugene Collier. It is important to have an experienced lawyer handling the case who understands negligence, especially for drivers who are victims from vehicles driving over double yellow lines.
