El Paso, TX (7/3/2021) – A person was killed early Saturday morning after a fatal rear-end accident near the Texas-New Mexico state line. 

Who’s at Fault in a Chain-Reaction Car Accident in Texas?

The accident happened on Interstate 10 near Anthony when two vehicles headed westbound on the freeway collided after one driver switched lanes and rear-ended the other vehicle. 

The person who was fatally injured in the crash died at the scene. He was identified as 69-year-old Francisco Higareda. 

The crash closed I-10 for several hours Saturday morning.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
