Rear-end Collision Kills Driver on Highway 59 in SplendoraSplendora, TX (April 4, 2019) – One person died after being rear-ended in Splendora.

The car accident happened Thursday afternoon when traffic on U.S. 59. According to Splendora Police Chief Wally Wieghat, traffic was slowing down due to a previous accident a mile away.

The driver of a white pickup truck failed to slow down and collided into the back of a red pickup truck, killing the driver.

The driver of the white truck works for Roll-Lift and suffered minor injuries.

There was a total of four vehicles were involved in the accident, including an 18-wheeler and an RV. No one else was injured in the accident.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in ten days.
