Three People Hospitalized after Wreck in Converse

Converse, TX (5/29/2020) – A man is now dead and three people are hospitalized after attempting to pass slower traffic in Converse, Texas Tuesday evening.

The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. on FM 1516 near Binz-Engleman Road when Bret Alexander Wiseman, 26, drove in the northbound lanes to pass cars in the southbound lanes. He struck another vehicle with three people inside while doing so.

Wiseman was killed as a result of the accident.

The three people in the other vehicle were taken to the hospital.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
