Three People Killed after a Drunk Driving Wreck in Dallas

Dallas, TX (5/29/2020) – Three people are now dead after a drunk driver ran a red light and caused a crash early Monday in Dallas.

The accident happened when 23-year-old Jose Arroyo was speeding in an SUV, ran a red light, and slammed into a car.

The crash killed Ernesto Deleon, 47, Ashley Deleon, 18, and Leslie Deleon, 19, while the girls’ mother – Laura Sanchez-Quiroz – was sent to a local hospital’s intensive care unit.

Jose Arroyo faces three counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault. He is being held at Dallas County Jail on a $350,000 bond.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Wrongful Death Lawyers, Sutliff & Stout

The dangers of drunk driving are well known. The impairment caused by alcohol consumption frequently leads to devastating vehicle collisions which often result in incapacitating injuries and even deaths.  Because Arroyo inflicted injuries that lead to death for three people, the right for the family of the three victims to file a wrongful death claim is substantial. To do so, it’s important to consult legal counsel while you file your claim since insurance companies may trick you into settling with little to no money.

The best way to make sure you are treated fairly after your car accident is to hire a lawyer who knows the law and who is willing to fight to make sure that you are treated fairly.  Don’t settle for just any lawyer.  Hire a lawyer who has the experience and resources necessary to take on an insurance company. At Sutliff & Stout that is exactly what we do.  Our board-certified personal injury lawyers know how to hold the insurance companies accountable and get you the money you deserve.
