Waco, TX (8/5/2020) – A man was injured after a three-vehicle wreck occurred Tuesday night in Waco.

The accident happened near the intersection of Erath and New Road just before 10 p.m. The accident involved a Chevrolet Tahoe holding three people, a Toyota Prius, and a Toyota Camry holding two people.

The Camry and the Prius were badly mangled and the Prius caught fire after the collision. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and rescue the man inside the wreckage. They also used the Jaws of Life to get him out.

The man reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries.

A woman riding in the Camry suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the Prius was also injured. He later died.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Accidents that involve extensive injuries or death are encouraged to contact legal counsel due to the amount of damages that come from an accident that causes such fatalities. An attorney can deal with insurance adjusters for you, negotiate settlements, and represent your best interests if a lawsuit is needed. If you or a loved one were involved in a car accident, immediately contact a legal expert to help you evaluate your options.
