Houston, TX (8/16/2021) – Three women are now hospitalized after a car crashed into a bayou Monday morning in southwest Houston.
The accident happened at the Brays Bayou when a man found a car upside down in the water. Witnesses say a car was speeding down Bellaire Boulevard when it turned north onto Wilcrest and lost control. That’s when it then went into the bayou.
Two women escaped, but a third was trapped inside. After the man, Gabriel Moncada, was able to rescue the woman, all three were taken to the hospital.
The trapped woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
