Jefferson County, TX (2/20/2020) – Two people are now hospitalized after a multi-vehicle wreck involving a dump truck on Texas 73 occurred around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.
The accident occurred on State Highway 73 in Jefferson County. According to DPS, a dump truck was headed east when it was rear-ended by a Toyota pickup truck driven by 45-year-old Michael Hughes.
The driver of the dump truck, Ferrer Perez Maidley, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Hughes was taken to a hospital after suffering serious injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
