Hudspeth County, TX (9/3/2020) – Two people are now dead and two were injured after three semi-trucks wrecked Thursday morning in Hudspeth County.

Meagan Lee Killed after Fatal Wreck with a Semi-Truck

The deadly crash occurred around midnight on Interstate 10. Three semi-trucks were involved in a chain-reaction wreck when a semi-truck went too fast and rear-ended another semi-truck, which then pushed it into a third semi-truck.

The two people that were killed were identified as 49-year-old truck driver James Edward Scott and his passenger, 39-year-old Eddie Charles Causey.

The drivers of the two semi-trucks that were hit were 51-year-old Michael George Bennett and 55-year-old Juan Jesus Rodriguez. They were both treated for injuries and later released from Horizon Providence hospital.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Pileup Accident Attorneys

Pileup accidents typically involve at least three vehicles, but sometimes more. A common scenario of this kind of accident happens when a vehicle fails to reduce speed and rear-ends a car stopped in traffic and pushes it into many other stopped cars, much like the situation above. Pileup collisions result in thousands in damages and many claims need to be filed with insurance companies.
