Milam County, TX (4/13/2020) – Two people are now dead after a fatal wreck in Milam County occurred Wednesday.

The head-on collision happened along FM 487 between a pickup truck and an SUV. Authorities believe the SUV crossed the centerline of the road and struck the pickup truck head-on.

The driver of the pickup, 37-year-old Kymber Lynn Barton, was killed at the scene.

Two others were sent to the hospital via helicopter, a 30-year-old woman and a 71-year-old woman. The 71-year-old woman, Elizabeth Bartlett, died from her injuries Thursday.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
