Carson County, TX (9/1/2021) – Two people were killed after a fatal wreck caused by inclement weather on Friday.
The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. when a Ford Fusion headed northbound on SH 207 lost control during rainy weather and struck a Honda Civic headed southbound. The Fusion entered a side skid, which caused it to hit the front end of the Civic.
The driver of the Fusion, 18-year-old Bailey Chisum, was killed at the scene.
The driver of the Honda, 47-year-old Suzie Hembree, was taken to the hospital via air ambulance with life-threatening injuries. She was also later pronounced dead at the hospital.
