Two Women Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident on Highway 385

Levelland, TX (12/16/2019) – Two people are now hospitalized after a one-vehicle rollover on Highway 385 on Saturday

According to DPS, 17-year-old Mariah Munoz was traveling southbound with 18-year-old Mariah Camargo in a GMC SUV when she overcorrected and rolled her vehicle.

Munoz was taken to UMC for serious injuries.

Camargo was also taken to the hospital, where she remains in good condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

According to the NHTSA, rollover crashes are more likely to result in fatalities than any other types of crashes, and that most fatal rollover crashes are single vehicle crashes. This type of crash is ultimately due to excessive speeding, alcohol, and other negligent acts the driver may be at-fault for. When these factors are involved, it’s important to seek legal assistance for compensation against dangerous, negligent acts.
