Austin, TX (12/17/2019) – A woman originally injured in a hit-and-run accident has now died, according to Austin Police Department.
Officers say a man and woman on separate bikes were stopped on Cameron Road early Monday morning around 2:25 a.m. The woman was tending to a wooden trailer attached to her bike when a truck headed southbound drove through and crashed into the woman and the bike. The driver fled the scene.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The man was not hurt in the accident.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
