Houston, TX (8/7/2020) – A wreck involving an 18-wheeler and a vehicle left one woman injured in Houston Thursday morning.

The accident happened on Highway 99 around 7:15 a.m. The woman was pinned against the side of the highway in her car after the 18-wheeler struck her. Firefighters were able to cut the roof of the car, remove the woman from the vehicle and place her onto a stretcher. The window was completely shattered.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

An investigation into this accident will prove essential due to the fact that a commercial truck left a woman injured as well as pinned inside of her vehicle. The driver of the semi-truck that caused the accident, and the trucking company, may be liable for any damages brought forth upon the woman.

The elements of liability, damages, and the ability to pay are critical in determining the value of a case or claim. Without all three elements, a case has little to no value given the nature of our legal system.
