Houston, TX (7/29/2020) – A woman is now dead after a wreck occurred at a Houston intersection Monday afternoon.

The accident happened around 5:25 p.m. on 43rd Street at the Cheshire Lane intersection. A man who was intoxicated was speeding in the 1500 block of West 43rd when he crashed his Jeep Wrangler into the woman’s Honda Civic. Police say she was attempting to cross 43rd at Cheshire Lane at the time.

The 46-year-old woman was killed in the crash.

Esvin Crispin Aguilar, 28, is charged with intoxication manslaughter. Aguilar was tested at the scene and authorities determined he was intoxicated. He was then arrested.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

Speeding through an intersection and endangering the lives of others are clear indications of negligence. If someone commits an act of negligence, and it results in injury, or death, the victim or the victim’s family has a right to an attorney. If you were injured in a collision or any other type of car accident, seek medical attention for your injury. Then, consider working with an experienced personal injury lawyer to pursue compensation for your damages. If you were injured during a car accident, call personal attorneys Sutliff & Stout at (713) 987-7111 or send us an email to discuss your case.
