Austin, TX (2/8/2021) – A woman was killed in North Austin after being in a multi-car wreck.

The accident happened on Saturday on North Interstate 35 around 2:30 a.m. Denyse Jaimes-Olmos was headed northbound in a GMC Terrain when she crashed into a barricade on the outside shoulder.

Her vehicle slid across all lanes and came to rest in the inside lane. That’s when a second car came and crashed the rear of the GMC. Jaimes-Olmos fell onto the roadway and then a third car struck her.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
