The accident happened at an H-E-B at 15300 Interstate 35. A woman was walking in the middle of a crosswalk when a gray Chevrolet Silverado came by and struck her. The man then drove away from the scene.

Police were able to locate the Silverado and identify the driver as Jeffrey Conzemius, 58. He was charged with an accident involving death and was booked in the Hays County Jail.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
