Galveston, TX (6/16/2020) – A Crosby firefighter is now missing after being involved in a three-vehicle wreck in Galveston Sunday night.
The accident happened on the Galveston Causeway Bridge. According to the Coast Guard, a Jeep with three men and a dog inside crashed into a guardrail on the outbound lane of the causeway near the Tiki Island exit. Kent Zavala, 20, went missing after he was ejected from the Jeep and thrown into the water.
Two of the men were taken to UTMB with critical injuries. The dog has also been recovered.
Zavala has not been found.
Texas EquuSearch continues to search for Zavala, but the Coast Guard has suspended their search.
