Trent, TX (5/12/2021) – A two-vehicle crash left one man dead Wednesday morning.
Around 7:48 a.m., a Dodge Ram pickup headed eastbound on I-20 attempted to merge on the highway while a westbound Chrysler STC was approaching. Both vehicles veered to the south, where they both collided.
The driver of the Chrysler, 59-year-old Virgil P. Warren, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pickup driver Kelley Rasberry, 38, was transported to an Abilene hospital. She was later released.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
