Stephens County, TX (5/18/2020) – A two-vehicle wreck in Stephens County left one woman dead Friday afternoon.
The accident happened at SH 67 near Breckenridge. One vehicle was headed north on SH 67 while a second vehicle was headed south. The first vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the road and when the two vehicles approached each other, the second vehicle swerved to avoid the first vehicle. Ultimately, the two collided.
The driver of one of the vehicles, 26-year-old Mercedes Elaine Fulton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
