San Antonio, TX (4/27/2020) – A motorcyclist is now dead after being involved in a seven-vehicle crash in the South Side of San Antonio.
The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday on SW Military Drive near South Flores Street. A commercial delivery truck was traveling westbound on Military Drive when the driver claimed the truck had brake failure. The truck struck a Chevy Cobalt, which then struck the motorcycle, police said. The motorcycle was thrown about 40 yards away from the point of impact. Motorcyclist Michael Brandon Guerra, 37, became trapped under the truck and was dragged about 10 feet.
Guerra was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to initial reports, about seven vehicles in total were impacted in the crash.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
