Fort Worth, TX (8/12/2021) – A multi-vehicle crash left multiple injuries Thursday afternoon in north Fort Worth.
The accident happened on northbound Interstate 35W near North Tarrant Parkway. A tow truck was hauling a vehicle when a tire came loose.
Five people were treated for minor injuries and one person suffered serious injuries after being trapped in their vehicle.
The two TEXpress Lanes on northbound I-35W were shut down and one regular lane was also shut down. The lanes were back open around 5 p.m.
The patient who was seriously injured had to be removed from their vehicle by rescue crews, officials said.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
